A Novel Approach to the Simulation of Cytosceletal Polymorphism

In this poster, we present a new method based on Finite beam elements for the simulation of biopolymer networks in a volume with periodic boundary conditions. It accounts for Brownian dynamics of the filaments and crosslinker molecules and allows for simulations of equilibrium network phases. by varying the amount of crosslinker and their species, four different equilibrium phases can be observed.
