DynQ18 Logo Most quantum systems eventually follow the laws of equilibrium statistical physics after they come to equilibrium with their environment. Recently, however, some intriguing exceptions known as quantum glass have been discovered. Quantum glasses remain quantum even at large size scales and long times and they support new quantum phases of matter. Come join us to explore their surprising properties.


Rahul Nandkishore is an Assistant Professor of Physics and a Fellow of the Center for Theory of Quantum Matter at the University of Colorado Boulder. His research is focused on the dynamics of many body quantum systems, in par t icular seeking to understand new non-equilibrium phases of matter that may be realized therein. Rahul received his BA and MSci from the University of Cambridge and his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was then a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Theoretical Science at Princeton University. He has won Young Investigator awards from the U.S. Army and Air Force research offices, as well as a Sloan Research Fellowship. He is a member of the Foundational Questions Institute.
