Transport Discussion
Discussion Leader-Catherine Kallin (McMaster Univ.)
Marcel Franz (Johns Hopkins Univ.); Doug Bonn (Univ. B.C.); Louis Taillefer (Univ. Toronto); Peter Hirschfeld (Univ. Florida)

How well are the quasiparticle picture and the commonly employed approximations associated with this picture working in describing low temperature transport in the superconducting state?

How can one reconcile the extremely long mean free paths in the underdoped regime with the ideas surrounding stripes and inhomogeneities?

What is the low-energy density of states of a disordered d-wave superconductor? Under what circumstances is the DOS finite at zero energy?

What is the effect of quasiparticle interactions on the low temperature superfluid density and transport properties? What about the effect of phase fluctuations or stripes?

Transport in the vortex state: role of quasiparticle "band structure", quantum effects, and disorder?

What signatures would one expect to see in the normal state transport if there is spin-charge separation?
