Electron-phonon Interaction in Strongly Correlated Systems
Giorgio Sangiovanni (Vienne Tech.)

Authors: Giorgio Sangiovanni and Olle Gunnarsson

Many experimental indications suggest that the interplay between electron-electron and electron-phonon interaction is a crucial for the physics of high-temperature superconductors. The same non-trivial interplay is responsible for the failure of Density Functional Theory in predicting the right coupling of carriers to the relevant phonon modes. As I will present in my poster many-body calculations are, on the contrary, in much better agreement with experimental evidences in cuprates like, e.g., photoemission spectroscopy and inelastic neutron scattering.
