Logarithmic Corrections to Quantum-Critical Scaling in the S=1/2 Heisenberg Chain
Oleg Starykh, (Yale Univ)
We describe low-temperature dynamics of the S=1/2 Heisenberg chain via a simple ansatz taking into account marginally irrelevant operator which describes Umklapp scattering of spinons. We demonstrate very good agreement of our theory with numerical quantum Monte Carlo simulations and detailed NMR experiments on Sr_2 Cu O_3 by Takigawa et. al. Close similarity with recent RG-improved perturbation theory of Barzykin (cond-mat/9904250) is also mentioned.
