Modeling the Fluctuations of Free-Electron-Laser (FEL) Radiation and Their Effect On the Interaction with Atoms
Georgios Nikolopoulos, Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas & KITP

The first part of this talk deals with the statistical properties (fluctuations) and the numerical simulation of FEL radiation. In the second part, I will consider the interaction of such a radiation with atoms, focusing in particular on the effects of its fluctuations on non-linear processes.
