The Transition from an Optically Thick Disk to an Optically Thin Disk
Dr. Tadahiro Manmoto, ITP & Kyoto Univ
with Dr. Shoji Kato (ITP & Kyoto Univ)
I discuss the transition from an optically thick cool Shakura-Sunyaev disk to an
optically thin hot advection-dominated accretion flow at certain radius which
might give explanations to the low state spectra of black hole X-ray binaries.
The main point in our model is the inclusion of the turbulent energy transport
(the turbulent condution). By solving the 1D rad-hydro equation we obtain the
series of global solutions with transiti
