Scientists and Journalists: Worlds in Collision, or Ships Passing in the Dark
Dr. Tom Siegfried, Reporter, Dallas Morning News

Science is the most important thing in the world, yet it gets the least media attention. This situation arises in part because most journalists don't understand science, and in part because most scientists don't understand the media. (But mainly it's the media's fault.) Most of the things that could be done to improve the situation are unlikely to happen (because they cost money). And by the way, one of the ships is sinking.
