"Engineering" Quantum Magnetism and Quantum Hall States in Optical Lattices
Mikhail Lukin (Harvard)

We will review various approaches for realzation of quantum magnetic systems with topological order and quantum Hall states using ultra-cold atoms in optical lattices. As an outlook we will discuss several aspects of potential proof-of-principle realizations of topologically protected memory and computation in such systems.
